Create A Mother's Day Card

Create A Mother's Day Card

Make a beautiful card for your Mum for Mother's Day.

Start off with white card-stock for your base (or any colour you choose). You can make it any size you want but Jenny cut hers 6 x 8.5 inches (15.5cm x 21cm). Put this aside.

Then cut another piece slightly smaller to decorate for the front of the card. This one is 5.5 x 3.75 inches (13.5cm x 9cm).

Stamp your flower on the card front and then a second time on a scrap of card-stock to use as a mask. If you would like to add a bit of dimension, stamp a third image on some scrap.

Stamp flourishes at opposite corners of the card front with your chosen ink colour - we used VersaMagic Persimmon - then put on clear embossing powder and heat emboss.

Using a dauber, sponge around the flower image with your main ink colour - we used VersaMagic Tea Leaves.

Cut out the mask image and attach to the stamped flower with removable adhesive.

Spray the card front with Fireworks Bamboo Leaves. Closer for large drops, further away for a finer mist effect.

Take the mask off.

Colour your stamped image and the flower section of the third image - use pencils, markers, paints, whatever you like.

Fussy cut the flower section of the third image and "crinkle" the petals to give a 3D look. Adhere to the stamped image.

Stamp your greeting.

Ink the edges of the card front and the card base to give a bit of definition.

Adhere the card front to the card base.

All done!
